Groupon, oh how I love the bucks you save

There’s a little iambic pentameter for ya, celebrating the sheer joy that is Groupon. When I first read about Groupon, it seemed too good to be true. Basically, you sign up for free, select your city (or cities), and every morning in your e-mail box you receive an INCREDIBLE offer on some amazing stuff.

What kind of stuff, you ask? How about 50%-90% off restaurants, entertainment, spas, salons, classes, tours, packages… even dentistry! Just about every product or service you can imagine will eventually show up as an incredible offer in your inbox.

For example, we receive Groupons for NYC and Northern Jersey. So far, we’ve purchased incredible deals on a dozen dee-freakin-licious cupcakes (just $16!), up to five Pilates classes for $10 each (to work off the cupcakes), gourmet sandwiches at our local fromage purveyor, and… my favorite… a full dental cleaning plus x-rays and examination for a FRACTION of what I would have paid at full price.

Now, are you going use every single Groupon? No, of course not. But what do you have to lose? Joining is free, and you don’t have to give them any credit card info until you want to buy one of the daily deals. I promise you, eventually you’re going to see something you want, and you’re not going to believe the amazing deal you get.

Groupon fits perfectly within the ActorsLife.com Budget Living philosophy… it’s not just about penny pinching, it’s about enjoying the best life has to offer without spending a ton of money.

Yes, actors are often struggling to pay bills, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t be able to get a massage or a mani/pedi once in a while. Groupon is a great way to do that – sign up and start receiving amazing offers right in your mailbox.
